Positive Beliefs Heal

For those of you who don’t know me very well yet, I love to play the piano. I’m looking forward to playing a couple of love songs I arranged for our church service next week: “You Are So Beautiful” and “Aloha Oe”. Previously, my wife Susan had questioned the appropriateness of combining these songs together, since the former is all about loving somebody deeply and the latter is about leaving somebody special behind with of course the hope of returning soon.

I explained they are both about love, and according to Dr. Eben Alexander, author of Proof of Heaven, Love is the dominant force in the universe. So if you are seeking a healing in your life, or some form of positive change, this article is all about speaking words of love, seeing Love-Light making an impact, and feeling your connection to the Source of Love come true.

In other articles I have written extensively about a process I use to facilitate healing for any problem or concern: see the red flags; face your emotions honestly; use positive thoughts; take positive action; hold to positive beliefs. Today, I choose to share some of my positive beliefs that have brought physical, emotional, financial, and mental healing in my life. However, I know what works for me may not be a good fit for you. Everybody, I believe, needs to find their own pathways to Truth. Yet, I do feel it is useful for us to share our Light. What do you think?

I am encouraging you to check out Dr. Alexander’s book. In summary: he is a well known neurosurgeon who contracted a rare brain disease, a form of bacterial meningitis that shut down his cerebral cortex and put him in a coma for seven days. He experienced an afterlife that was so vivid and real, that it changed his attitude as an agnostic and spiritual skeptic to a believer in eternal consciousness and our oneness with “The Core”.

I utilize some of his insights in my positive belief system as well as knowledge from readings of other New Thought authors. I am curious to find out if my system (with your own revisions and input) can have a positive impact on your life too.

When I seek a healing for myself or for others, I get my mind and body in a relaxed state similar to a meditation process. Then I use a combination of affirmations designed to speak my word, see my word, and feel my Word. Here it goes:

“Lord, I need your help. I can’t do this on my own.”

“I’m grateful for all that I am and for all that I receive.”

“I love You with all my mind, body, heart, and soul.”

“I’m a perfect light that radiates with eternal consciousness and the healing power of the Holy Spirit.”

“I am one with You; the Source of all Good; the only true power in the universe. I can never be separated from Your Power. I have nothing to fear. You are with me always.”

“I am a perfect expression of Your Love since you created me in your image and likeness. I am loved and cherished by you unconditionally. I can do no wrong. Anything that appears to the contrary is false, untrue, and cannot have any lasting impact on my life. “

“I breathe in your Light that is everywhere present: outside of me as life-energy that emanates from all forms of life; inside of me as the Light that shines from my soul.”

“This Love-Light flows through every atom, cell, and particle in my physical body; and in every fiber of my spiritual being.”

“I shine the Light on any health challenge in my body, relationships, financial concerns, or outside issues.”

“I feel the Light producing the change I need and most desire. In Your Name, and in the Name of my Divine Self, I am healed.”

“It feels so wonderful to be healed and to achieve all my goals and interests.”

“And so it is done.”

“I see Your Face in the Light of glistening seas, peaceful sunsets, sunrises, moonlight, and starlight. I feel your presence in the loving vibrations that come from songs like ‘You Are So Beautiful’ and ‘Aloha Oe.’”

“I reach my hand out to You today, because I can’t do this alone.”

“Thank you God.”

Then I repeat the process over and over until I drift off to sleep. Most importantly, I hold to my faith and I take all actions necessary to bring about positive results.

You might say that my process is too long or involved to remember. At times you are right. Then I use a shortcut: I just breathe in the Light, and shine It on any needed focal point. I feel the warmth, and Love of the Light. I enter the Light and I let go.

I believe this is a very powerful process. Last year, as I was breathing in the Light, with my eyes wide open, I actually saw an angel. Wow! That was the first time for me. And the other day when I reached out my hand to the Light, I felt something mentally and emotionally return my grip.

Positive beliefs do heal. Healing transforms our life. It's the process of transformation that can bring heaven on earth.
